From The Reporter's Notebook BUZZING: Today in the Hive From a TPM Prime member: "We are still screwed because Heller remains so expansive and the contours so ill defined. The solution to this problem is far off in an America we can only dream about. It might take 30 to 50 years of demographic change to remove the dominance of the class of people who support an expanded presence of firearms in society. I got rid of my last firearm a month ago because I wasn't using it and didn't want to anymore. None of my kids wanted the weapon (including my conservative middle son who was on his college ROTC rifle team). That made me kind of happy. I then offered it to my conservative brother-in-law as a political peace offering. (Well I did require him to take all the other leftovers I had like odds and ends in reloading supplies and cleaning equipment and supplies.) Society is changing little by little and over time I expect gun sanity to win. But I will not be alive to see it unless I really beat the life-expectancy stats." Related: Remember when Sen.
